Musafirana Viewpoint is one of the easiest places to see why Bengalis come to Mukutmanipur for a weekend rather than just to tick off a dam. From here the reservoir feels wide, the valley opens out, and the low hills give the water a more dramatic frame.
It is a short stop, but a good one. Come when the sun is low and the heat has backed off.
