Koka Beach is a south-coast beach trip from Maumere, set around two pale-sand coves divided by a rocky headland. It is far enough from town to feel like an outing, but close enough to work as a long half-day with a driver or motorbike.
The beach is quiet by Indonesian resort standards. Bring what you need, check the sea before swimming, and do not expect a full beach-town setup.
