Lepo Lorun is a women-led ikat weaving centre in Nita, a village in the hills near Maumere. The name means "house of weaving", and visits can show the slow work behind Sikka textiles: cotton, natural dyes, pattern tying, and loom work.
This is the most useful cultural stop around Maumere if you want to understand why woven cloth matters here. Buy only if something genuinely speaks to you; the better reason to visit is to see the process.
