Mount Binaiya is the highest mountain in Maluku, rising to 3,027 metres inside Manusela National Park. It is not a casual day hike: the climb is a multi-day trek through remote forest and mountain terrain, normally arranged with local guides and park permits.
For serious hikers it is Seram's strongest anchor. The route gives you a cross-section of the island's interior, from lowland villages and forest to high ridges with views across the Banda Sea and the Seram coast.
