Fathabad Garden

Restored Qajar-era Persian garden near Kerman, with a long pool and illuminated mansion

Fathabad Garden, also known as Biglarbeigi Garden, is a restored Qajar-era garden outside Kerman. Its long reflecting pool, rows of trees, and pale mansion make the classic Persian garden idea easy to read, especially in the dry landscape around the city.

It is often visited in the evening, when the building and water are lit and the heat has dropped. Shazdeh Garden at Mahan is grander, but Fathabad is closer to Kerman and gives a quieter view of the same desert-garden logic: shade, water, symmetry, and a building placed to command the whole composition.
