The Nobar Bathhouse is one of the most architecturally elegant of Tabriz's surviving historic public baths. Built in the late Qajar era, the brick exterior is restrained but the interior cold and hot chambers feature intricate plasterwork and tile decoration around a central dome.
The bath continues to function as a working hammam for men, which limits casual visiting. Even from the entrance you can see the geometry of the place and get a sense of why Tabriz's bathhouse tradition was so prized. Ask first before stepping beyond the foyer.
