The Qari Bridge is a small historic stone bridge spanning the Quri River as it cuts through the northern edge of central Tabriz. Built during the Safavid period and patched many times since, it is a quiet reminder that Tabriz was once laced with working bridges over the seasonal streams that drained the surrounding mountains.
The bridge is short and easy to miss, but it makes a pleasant detour if you're walking between the Blue Mosque and the bazaar. Look for the rough-hewn stone arches and the modest carved decoration on the parapets.
