Eilat is served by Ramon International Airport (ETM), which opened in 2019 about 18 kilometres north of the city and replaced the old city-centre Eilat Airport. Domestic flights from Tel Aviv (Ben Gurion) and Haifa take under an hour and are the quickest option. International charter flights connect Eilat to several European cities in season.
By road, Eilat is about five hours from Tel Aviv via Highway 40 through the Negev. Bus service from Tel Aviv's central station is frequent and takes around five hours. The border crossing to Jordan (Yitzhak Rabin/Wadi Araba) is five minutes from central Eilat; the crossing to Egypt at Taba is about ten minutes by taxi.
