North Beach Promenade

The main strip of hotels, restaurants, and bars along Eilat's central waterfront, running from the marina northward. The promenade is lively most evenings with Israeli holiday crowds and is the social heart of the city after dark. Cafes and kiosks line the walkway; the beach itself is clean but crowded during the Israeli holiday periods (Passover, Sukkot, and summer).

The promenade is also where most of Eilat's water sports operators are based — parasailing, jet-skiing, banana boats, and glass-bottomed boat trips all depart from the marina area. The 'What's Up' Observatory sets up its telescopes here on clear nights. If you want quieter beaches and better snorkeling, head south to the Coral Beach strip, where the reef starts and the crowds thin out.
