Okuyama Hōkō-ji

Okuyama Hōkō-ji is a large Zen temple complex founded in 1377. Set among pines and flowering trees, it has more than sixty halls and is one of the larger temples in the Tokai region.

The Shichison Bosatsudo is especially notable as one of the prefecture's oldest wooden buildings and a fine example of 14th-century Japanese architecture.
