Ishikawa Museum of Modern Literature

This small museum occupies the brick former Fourth High School building, a Meiji-era landmark near Kanazawa's central sights. Its exhibits focus on writers connected with Ishikawa, with books, manuscripts, and displays on local literary history.

It is most rewarding if you read Japanese or have a specific interest in modern Japanese literature, but the building and setting make it an easy short stop while walking between Kenroku-en, the castle area, and Nagamachi.
