Kannon-in, also known as Tamae Kannon, is a temple above the Hashimoto River and part of the Chugoku 33 Temple Pilgrimage. It is linked with meetings among Hagi figures in the years before the end of the shogunate.
The temple is also worth the climb for its view across Mount Shizuki, the old castle town, and the Sea of Japan.
