Iwakuni Castle stands above the bridge on Mount Shiroyama, reached by a short ropeway ride and a walk through forest. The keep is a reconstruction, but the view is real: the river bends below, Kintai Bridge sits neatly in the foreground, and on clear days the Seto Inland Sea shows on the horizon.
