Kusatsu Nettaiken is a small tropical zoo warmed by the town's hot-spring heat. Its domed greenhouse keeps a subtropical climate even in winter, with reptiles, birds, small mammals and other animals shown in a compact indoor setting.
It is most useful as a family stop or a bad-weather break from the baths, and pairs easily with the Yubatake area and Sainokawara Park.
