Netsunoyu turns Kusatsu's old hot-spring cooling method into a short performance. Instead of diluting the spring water, attendants once stirred and beat it with long wooden paddles, cooling it while keeping the mineral character intact.
The show is touristy, but it explains the town better than another museum label would. It is also right beside the Yubatake, so it is easy to fold into a walk through the centre.
