The Museum of Aeronautical Sciences sits by the airport and makes sense if Narita is part of a flying day anyway. Exhibits cover aircraft, engines, cockpit equipment, and the mechanics of flight, with observation areas for watching traffic at the airport.
It is a specialist stop rather than a general must-see, but it rounds out Narita's odd double identity: old temple town on one side, international aviation machine on the other.
