Sakura-no-Yama is a park near the runway at Narita Airport, where planes pass low enough to make even casual aircraft watching entertaining. In spring, cherry trees soften the whole scene and turn the park into one of the city's easier picnic spots.
It is not central, so do it after Shinsho-ji rather than instead of it. Aviation fans will get more from it than ordinary temple-town wanderers.
