China On The Park is run by Fukagawa Seiji, one of Arita's best-known porcelain makers. The site combines factory, gallery, shop, and restaurant, with a stronger sense of a living porcelain business than a public museum can provide.
Come here if you want to see the town's craft as production and design rather than only history. It is also a good place to compare fine contemporary pieces before deciding what, if anything, you want to carry home.
