Zenrin Map Museum

Zenrin Map Museum tells the story of Japanese mapmaking, with a local link to Ino Tadataka, the Edo-period surveyor who began mapping Kyushu from this area. The museum is run by Zenrin, the Kitakyushu-based mapping company.

It sits in the Riverwalk complex near Kokura Castle, so it is easy to pair with the castle and central Kokura sights. On clear days, the upper-floor views over the city and Kanmon Strait are part of the appeal.
