Kokura's sights are clustered around the castle and the long covered arcades that thread through the city centre. The castle and its surrounding park are the obvious draw, but the Matsumoto Seicho Memorial Museum, Riverwalk Kitakyushu, and the food stalls of Tanga Market reward an afternoon's wander.
