Senshū Museum of Art focuses on art connected with Akita and also hosts changing exhibitions. It is a compact museum rather than a blockbuster stop, but it gives visitors a local art angle in the city centre.
Pair it with Senshu Park or Akita Museum of Art if you are spending a few hours around central Akita.
