Shiroishi's samurai residence is a modest but useful companion to the castle. It brings the town's feudal story down from the keep to domestic scale: rooms, garden, and the daily setting of a retainer family.
Do not expect a grand mansion. The point is the opposite: a small, readable house that makes the old castle town feel less abstract.
