El-Lejjun

El-Lejjun is the archaeological site of Betthorus, a Roman fortress built around AD 300 to guard the Limes Arabicus frontier. The remains are scattered and quiet, but they add useful Roman context to a Karak trip.

It is best for visitors already interested in archaeology or Roman military sites, rather than as a casual first stop.
