Duman is a 1990s-vintage entertainment complex on the right bank, famous mainly for the Oceanarium — Central Asia's only saltwater aquarium and the furthest in the world from any ocean. The setup is straightforward and rather charming in its dated way: a glass walk-through tunnel with sharks and rays, tanks of tropical fish, a small penguin enclosure.
The rest of the complex is bowling, a few restaurants, a small amusement section, and an outmoded but functional 3D cinema. Good for an indoor escape if winter weather pins you down, or as a stop with children. Tickets are inexpensive.
