Tanjung Emas is Muar's riverfront park at the meeting of the Muar River and the Strait of Malacca. It is most alive in the evening, when families come out for a stroll, children play, and the heat finally starts to lift.
Do not expect a manicured landmark. The appeal is local rhythm: river breeze, snack stalls, boats, broad water, and the sense that half the town has chosen the same place to end the day.
