Sultan Ibrahim Jamek Mosque stands near the mouth of the Muar River and is the town's most recognisable building. Completed in 1930, it has a pale, almost palace-like profile, with a mix of Western, Middle Eastern, and local influences rather than the standard Malaysian mosque silhouette.
Non-Muslim visitors should be respectful and avoid prayer times unless invited in. Even from the outside, it is worth the short walk for the river setting and the way the building anchors Muar's old administrative quarter.
