Carved into the forested hillside just below the ridge at Nagarkot, the Buddha Peace Park is a landscaped garden surrounding a large white Buddha statue with views down into the valley below. The park offers a quieter alternative to the main view tower — the same dramatic setting but fewer crowds, and a pleasant place to walk through terraced gardens planted with marigolds and prayer flags.
The path through the park winds past smaller shrines and meditation spots and opens at several points onto views north toward the Himalayas. It is more contemplative than spectacular, and works well as an afternoon walk after the sunrise drama at the tower. The adjacent hiking trail extends further along the ridge for those who want to walk off the previous night's dal bhat.
