The oldest surviving British building in Abbottabad — an Anglican church consecrated in 1864, eleven years after the cantonment was founded. The building is a modest stone Gothic Revival design, the kind of thing the Public Works Department produced in dozens of British hill stations across the subcontinent, but the proportions and the wooded setting make it memorable.
Services still run on Sundays for the local Christian community. Outside service hours the building is normally locked, but the caretaker will open it if you ask. The churchyard contains a number of nineteenth-century graves of British officers and their families.
