The highest point in the northeastern Rawalakot area, Toli Pir is 40 kilometers from town and stands at the junction of three mountain ridges. The summit is a broad grassy plateau with wide-open views in every direction — on a clear day you can see far into the surrounding valleys.
The drive up is half the experience, winding through pine forest with a scenic rest house partway along the route. Toli Pir is best visited in the warmer months when the meadows are green and the sky is clear. Bring warm layers regardless — it is noticeably cooler up here than in Rawalakot.
