Chichawatni sits on the main Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line, one of the most important rail corridors in Pakistan. The station is a working stop on this line, and trains heading north toward Lahore and south toward Multan and Karachi stop here regularly.
Like many stations along this route, the building itself is a colonial-era brick structure with high ceilings and wide canopied platforms designed to handle the heat of the Punjab plains. If you're travelling by train — which is strongly recommended over road for comfort and safety in this part of Pakistan — Chichawatni is a practical interchange point.
