Chichawatni is on the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line, with regular train services in both directions. From Lahore the journey takes around two to three hours; from Multan about one hour. The main road is the Grand Trunk Road (N-5), which runs through town. Bus and wagon services connect Chichawatni to Sahiwal, 45 km north, from where connections to Lahore and Multan are frequent.
Harappa, the Indus Valley archaeological site, lies about 20 km southwest of Chichawatni. Local transport runs there from the GT Road; ask at the bus stand for wagons or minibuses heading toward Sahiwal via Harappa.
