DG Khan Zoo

The city's public zoo on the northern edge of town

A modest public zoo on the northern edge of Dera Ghazi Khan, notable mainly as the city's main green space and a popular local family outing on Fridays. The collection is limited — the usual range of large mammals, birds, and reptiles one sees at smaller Pakistani zoos — but the grounds are shaded and offer a quiet break from the city. Entrance fees are minimal.

The zoo is best visited in the morning before the heat builds. It is a short auto-rickshaw ride from the city centre.
