Pakistan Aeronautical Complex

The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC) is the reason Kamra exists in its current form — a large military aviation facility that manufactures, assembles, and overhauls aircraft for the Pakistan Air Force. You cannot enter the complex, and photography in its vicinity is strongly discouraged. What you can observe from the public road is the scale of the operation: it covers a substantial area on the northern edge of town and the sound of aircraft is a constant backdrop.

For aviation enthusiasts, the PAC is historically interesting — it has assembled Chinese-designed aircraft under licence and is a rare example of aviation manufacturing capacity in South Asia. The sight of military jets on approach or departure is not uncommon from the GT Road.
