Buses are the dominant form of public transport in Karachi and by far the cheapest way to get around. Routes cover most of the city, and the buses are heavily used by locals. Conditions are cramped and stops can be hard to identify if you don't know the routes — visitors who aren't familiar with the system generally find taxis or ride-hailing apps easier to navigate.
