Patriata Ridge Viewpoint

The top of the gondola opens onto an open ridge at around 2,300 metres, with a paved viewing terrace and short, gentle forest paths. The panorama is the point: forested ridges rolling away in every direction, with Kashmir's snow line visible to the north on clear days. The air is noticeably cooler than down in Murree, and several degrees cooler than the plains around Islamabad.

A small bazaar near the top sells corn on the cob, ice cream, and souvenirs aimed at domestic tourists. The summit restaurant is unremarkable but serviceable for a tea or a plate of pakoras while taking in the view.
