SM Megamall

One of the largest malls in the Philippines, anchoring the Ortigas CBD

SM Megamall spans two towers connected by a bridge and contains well over 700 shops, a multiplex cinema, an ice skating rink, a bowling alley, and a food court large enough to make serious decisions difficult. It sits at the corner of EDSA and Julia Vargas Avenue, making it one of the most accessible malls in Metro Manila — the Ortigas MRT station is effectively inside the complex.

The scale is what catches you first: it takes a full circuit of both buildings to understand what's here. Beyond the expected brands, Megamall houses a good range of Filipino fashion and homewares labels, a well-stocked supermarket, and a food hall with regional specialties. The rink (open to public skaters in the mornings) is genuinely popular — Filipinos turn out to be enthusiastic if occasionally unsteady skaters.
