Manleluag Hot Spring National Park

Natural hot springs in a forested protected landscape south of town

The Manleluag Spring Protected Landscape protects a cluster of naturally heated mineral springs set in second-growth forest in the hills south of Mangatarem proper. The main spring bubbles up warm enough to soak in but not scalding, and feeds a bathing pool used by locals and visitors year-round. The setting is genuinely pleasant: the springs are surrounded by trees rather than concrete, and on weekdays the place is quiet enough to feel like a discovery.

The park covers a modest area but has a short trail through the forest that passes additional smaller springs. Bring your own towel and a change of clothes; facilities are basic. Entry is inexpensive. The park is most easily reached by tricycle from the Mangatarem town centre, a ride of around 20 minutes along a decent road. Weekends draw families from Dagupan and Lingayen, so visit on a weekday if you want the springs to yourself.

A story
Locals come at dawn to soak — the water feels warmer in the cool of the morning, and you get the place to yourself before day-trippers arrive from Dagupan.
