A shallow reef off the coast of Samal Island, accessible only by banca (outrigger boat) from Davao or from the island's shore. The garden is named for its dense coral formations and the variety of reef fish that shelter among them — parrotfish, clownfish, and the occasional sea turtle are common sightings.
Boat hire is easily arranged through guesthouses on Samal or at Davao's waterfront piers. Snorkeling gear can be rented locally, and the calm, clear water makes it suitable for all skill levels.
