Hoyohoy Highland

Mountain park above Tangub with panoramic views over Panguil Bay

Hoyohoy Highland is a small mountain park above Tangub, reached by a winding paved road that climbs from the coastal plain through coconut groves and corn fields to about 700 metres. The summit area has been laid out as a recreational park with cottages, viewpoints, a small zipline, and a large cross on the highest point.

The reason to come is the view: south over the long expanse of Panguil Bay and across to the mountains of Lanao, west over the rest of Tangub and the rolling interior of the province, and on clear mornings a glimpse of the dark cone of Mount Malindang to the north. Mornings before the cloud builds are the best window.
