Jeongnimsa Temple Site preserves the bones of a major Baekje temple in the middle of Buyeo. Its five-storey stone pagoda, built in the Sabi period, is one of the most important early stone pagodas in Korea and the reason to come even if ruins usually leave you cold.
The small site museum helps fill in the missing buildings, with models and finds that show the scale of the original complex. Visit before the national museum if you want the archaeology to build in a sensible order.
