Jangtaesan Recreational Forest is one of Daejeon's best green escapes, with wooded trails, picnic areas, small gorges, and a sky tower above the trees. It mixes planted forest with natural woodland, so it feels managed but still gives you a proper break from the city.
Families come for the playgrounds and easy paths, while walkers can follow longer trails through the hills. It is most rewarding in good weather, when the tower views and forest paths make the trip worthwhile.
