Gwanbangjerim Forest is an old riverside shelterbelt, planted to protect the town from flooding along Damyangcheon Stream. Its trees are the appeal: mature zelkova, muku, nettle, and cherry trees forming a cool, linear park near the centre.
It is not as dramatic as Juknokwon or Soswaewon, but it helps make Damyang feel like a town of deliberate shade. Use it as a soft link between the bamboo garden and lunch.
