Juknokwon is Damyang's signature stop: a managed bamboo forest on Seonginsan Mountain, with paths that climb and loop through thick green shade. It is not wilderness, but that is part of its charm; the paths are easy to follow, the bamboo is dense, and the whole place is designed for unhurried strolling.
Go early if you want quiet. Later in the day it can feel like a popular Korean weekend outing, with photo stops and tea houses, but the sound of wind moving through the bamboo still does most of the work.
