Kumsusan Mountain rises to 1,016 metres above the lake country between Danyang and Jecheon. From a distance its ridgeline is said to resemble a woman lying down, which gives the peak one of its local nicknames.
It is a good stop if you want a proper mountain outing rather than another short viewpoint. Come prepared for a real hike and for weather that can change quickly on the ridge.
