Chaemijeong Pavilion sits near the entrance to Geumosan and commemorates Gil Jae, a late Goryeo and early Joseon scholar associated with loyalty to the fallen Goryeo dynasty. The pavilion is a modest stop, but it adds a Confucian layer to a mountain better known for hiking.
See it on the way into the park rather than as a separate destination. It is most useful as a quiet opening note before the trail gets steeper.
