Geumosan Provincial Park is Gumi's clear travel anchor. The mountain rises sharply west of the city and was designated a provincial park in 1970, with trails that climb from an accessible lower area into much rougher rocky terrain.
The lower route gives easy wins: the reservoir, cable car, Daehye Falls, Haeunsa Temple, and Doseongul Cave. Strong walkers can continue higher toward Yaksaam Hermitage and the summit for broader views over the Nakdong River plain. It is a proper day out, not just a city park with a hill attached.
