Deogyusan National Park is Muju's headline sight. The park protects high Sobaek Mountain ridges, forests, temples, and streams, with Hyangjeokbong rising to 1,614 metres.
You can hike properly from the valleys, or take the resort gondola toward Seolcheonbong and walk the final high section when conditions allow. Winter is famous for snow and frost-covered trees; autumn brings the easier reward of clear air and colour.
