Mungyeongsaejae Provincial Park

Historic Joseon mountain pass with stone gates, forest trails, and drama-set scenery.

Mungyeongsaejae Provincial Park preserves one of the most important passes on the old road between Seoul and the Yeongnam region. The broad trail follows the valley past stone gates, old-road scenery, and mountain forest.

It is an easy walk rather than a hard climb, which is part of the pleasure. Come in autumn if you can, when the maples make the old road feel much older than the car parks at the entrance suggest.
