Green Grass Lake is a small parkland lake south of central Hsinchu, good for a slow walk when you want open water and a quieter pace. It is not a grand natural sight, but the paths, bridges, and birdlife make it one of the city's better low-key breaks.
It works best as part of a half day with Eighteen Peaks Mountain or the Botanical Garden rather than as a standalone excursion.
