Waiao Beach is the easy surf-and-sea stop north of Wushi Harbor. The sand is dark, the coast is open, and Guishan Island gives the horizon a shape you remember.
Surf schools and board rentals make it approachable for beginners, though conditions still matter. It is a good counterweight to Toucheng's old street and museum: less history, more salt and wind.
